Adjusting carbs on a 1200 xlt waverunner???

How do you adjust the high speed and low speed adjustments when there are no screws? My waverunner is running fairly rich all the way through and im looking to lean it down just a bit. I believe it has the mikuni BN44 carbs but where the screws should be there are brass plugs and no way to remove them. Any suggestions??

The plugs can be removed if you drill through the cap, use a small bit, then use a drywall screw in the drilled hole to pull the plug out. You only have the screw the drywall screw in a small amount to grab the plug then pull the plug out
