Newbie Need Help
I purchase a 99 GP 1200 previous owner had engine swap from SBT in 2007. Couple of weeks ago oil hose came out and front piston got destroyed. Im looking to replace that piston and sleeve, my question is how do i know if piston is standard or upgrade?

measure the cylinder wall with a micrrometer to see if the cylinder was bored if it is the same as factory you could even ask sbt with your engine number give them a call they can help you with that -

didn't the previous owner give you the little SBT booklet? that has the serial no. in it. or check for a blue sticker on the front of the cylinder headComment
