Clear plastic tube coming off gauges

I dont think I had this hooked up last time but does anyone know where the 1/2" clear plastic pneumatic tube goes coming off of the Gauges on a 2 stroke 1100 Yamaha goes.

It has a fitting on the end but I dont see where it goes and has deteriorated like it should be in either the gas or oil tanks.

could be a vent line with a 1 way check valve. Some gauges with tubes are used as the speedo tubes and run down to the hull to a speedo fitting.
