  • purchasing yamaha 2004 fx1100a

Hello everyone. I am looking at purchasing a 2004 Yamaha FX1100a. The ski looks like it is in nice shape and real clean inside the engine compartment. I am do not know much about yamaha jet skis. Is there anything that is common to these units that is problematic that I should look for. I will be test riding the unit either monday night or tuesday night. what kind of compression should this engine have it is a 4 stroke. how should compression test be done? All plugs out and throttle wide open? anything else I should look for. Please let me know.

Only check compression on a warmed up Yamaha engine. It should be between 180 and 200 psi
