going to look at an 04 xlt1200 with 70 hours on it. seems to be a decent price. seller says it has no problems and is a strong runner. the ski is winterized but id like to do a compression test for some peace of mind. am i able to do this?
you would need to remove the spark plugs, (I always put the plugs back in the boots and ground them), turn the engine and clear out the fogging oil. it is not an ideal reading as you really need to test a motor that has run and warmed up.
