2000 XL1200 Ltd rebuilt engine question

Hello,

I have a few questions about purchasing a rebuild engine for a 2000 Yamaha XL1200 Ltd.

I had my mechanic look over my ski and determined that a new engine is needed. However, he gave me a quote on the replacement using your Yamaha 1200 Non-PV Premium Engine... though when I used your site choosing my Year, Make & Model it's only showing the 1200 PV Engine.

So my question is, will the non-PV engine be suitable. And if so, will the engine I would be returning to you be acceptable if it's a PV engine?

Make sure he has the yrs. correct, you cannot replace a non pv with a pv engine everything is different.
