  • My 98 gp 1200 won't start

I recently purchase a 98 GP 1200, before i bought the ski the prior owner started it and ran it for me she ran like top. i let it set in my shop for couple of months. now that it's lake time it wont start at all not even the dash lighs or make any noise. So i tought may be the battery is bad so i tested it and it was bad. i decided to buy a new one, i install it and still nothing. so i tested it on my second jetski and it works just fine.Im really lost now does any have any suggestions on what should i do. I NEED SOME HELP!!

Check fuses, check starter relay if it is anything past that then get a factory manual and dive into the electrical box.

can you bypass the line that supplies the handlebar message board? mine gave me fits , I unhooked the connection and all is well. just have no idea of rpms, fuel level etc. oh what did we do b4 those modern conveniences?
