  • Yamaha 800 Waverunner 800 Top End Cylinder kit questions

Just bought and installed the top end kit that I purchased from SBT and have a couple questions:
    1. What are the jug and head torque bolt specs?
    2. I forgot to chamfer the ports as suggested befor assembly, is this a major issue?
    3. What type of break-in do you suggest? Low rpm for a certain amount of time? Mix oil with gas
for the first tank at like a 60:1 ratio? What is standard?
Thanks for your help. The SBT products were perfect matches......

    1) head bolts=27 ft-lb
    2) they chamfer is done by SBT
    3) pre-mix at 50:1 and stay below full throttle, vary the speed from 0-50% for the first tank, second tank same but up to 3/4 throttle. Before running wide open on the 3rd tank replace the spark plugs.
    * Did you inspect the crank shaft and replace the crank seals with new seals when you replaced the top end? The reason I ask is because a damaged previous top end can be the result from bad crank seals causing the engine to suck air and run lean.
    Regards,
    Tom
