xl700 crankshaft removal

Hi,I'm new to this forum . I'm trying to remove the crankshaft from a 2004 Yamaha XL700 but can't get it out. What am I doing wrong?? Thanks for any solution...

Remove the cylinders and pistons, unbolt the case from the bottom, remove the flywheel and pto and it will come out.
