SBT lever links on my engine?

Hi all, I just bought a 2000 XL 1200 Limited. I tried to put wave eater clips on it but they won’t fit. I was told this engine was replaced with an SBT engine. I see an SBT 87099 sticker on the engine, can you tell me if this engine has the new lever links. Is there any way to find out what type of engine this is, when purchased, any info I can find on it.

Also, putting the carbs back on I stripped the threads out of one of the six holes that attaches the carb assembly plate to the block. According to the manual the bolt size is 8x100mm and the thread size is M8. Do you sell a heilcoil kit for this size bolt hole? If not do you know what size heilcoil kit I will need to repair the threads so I can attach the carbs to the block. Thanks, Marty

SBT installs a clip that is much like the wave eater clips on all yamaha pv engines so your ok with that. We dont sell thread insert kits, take one of the intake bolts down to napa and see what they have.
