Ok I have an SBT engine that i bought like 6 years ago or so. The engine is running good But i have to fix the crank seal. They told me that is a good idea to do the rings on the cylinders. Is that something that i can do just like that? do i have to do anything special? Also i have two engines and if i am doing it on one i am going to do it on the second one. Now the second engine is a oem Yamaha. the question is can i just buy the new rings and use them on the OEM pistons? will that work?

Re: Replacing the piston rings
Its not a hard job, if you are changing the crank seals then your already there for changing the rings. No special tools to change rings just your fingers, you will want to stay with O.E rings for o.e pistons and SBT rings for SBT pistons.SBT Tech Support is here to help with your problems.
