Hello,
i have a 2003 Yamaha suv 1200. My trim cable got rust and seized, so I bought the sbt trim cable to replace it. Doesn’t look like I can fit the threads for their replacement through the original hole. I spoke to a guy on the phone before I got the trim and he said I would need to reuse the nut and threads that were on my original cable. I didn’t realize it would be so hard to remove these fittings and it sure doesn’t appear like the fitting on the sbt cable is to be removed. Do I just cut off the plastic fitting on the sbt cable? I want to know for sure before I destroy the plastic fitting.
Thank you you for the help!
