SBT's don't come with the oil already in? But yes, you can use 30w...Dan Solie -

Oil for balance shaft
I have a 93 4.3 CPI Vin W I am working through some engine trouble as most of you know and am buying a replacement oil pump. I know that I dont need a high volume one but every part store I look at offers a 3/4" and a 5/8" shaft. How do I know which one I should have? Thanks

Did you know this is a PWC forum?Originally posted by harkisy09 View PostI have a 93 4.3 CPI Vin W I am working through some engine trouble as most of you know and am buying a replacement oil pump. No known PWC uses a GM 4.3 litre V-6 Central Port Injection engine!
However, the 5/8" and 3/4" measurement you are referring to is not shaft size, it is the inside diameter of the oil pump inlet, and corresponds to the outside diameter of the oil pump pick-up assembly (also called oil pump screen). Measure the Outside diameter of your pick-up to determine which one your engine currently has. Both the oil pump and the pick-up are readily available in 5/8" and 3/4" sizes. There should be no problems locating both new parts for your specific needs.Last edited by John Kubiak; 12-13-2009, 10:18 AM.John Kubiak
