I know you may have already checked this, but have you made sure the idle adjustment screw isnt cranked way in, as in back it off to where it isnt even touching the actuator, and another quickie, have you taken a mirror and looked down the bores of the carbs with the airbox and flame arrestor filter off to see where the butterflies are sitting, partially open almost colsed, etc, just some quickies to check out really quick, plus there could be a possibility one of them is opened a lot further than the other (out of sync) Just throwing some quickies out there that a mirror and a flashlight will help check.
