Did you sand down the connection on the starter where the ground hooks up. took starter off sanded down,that was the problem!is firing but will not run ,having my carb rebuilt or gonna try it myself dont know about them carb but might try ,already have the kits just wanted to see if it would run.got timing set as close as i possibly could looks like the back carbs not getting fuel,thanks for everybodys help but anymore suggestion will be greatly appreciated

Another hint i went thru every aspect of the carbs trying to get my to run and it came down to no fire on plug wires. Take plug out put on cap hold with rubber handled pliars or if tough just hold with hand out tip of plug next to ehast bolt and look for a spark on both of them. If really tough just put finger in plug cap.
