With our jet ski top-end rebuild kits, you can expect improved performance and durability for your jet ski. We use only the highest quality materials to ensure that our jet ski engine rebuild kits stand the test of time; that’s why you want SBT on your side. At SBT, we understand the importance of keeping your jet ski running smoothly and efficiently. That's why our jet ski top-end kits include all the necessary components, such as gaskets, pistons, rings, and bearings, for a complete overhaul.

A piston ring fits into a groove on the outer diameter of a piston. The main functions of a piston ring are to regulate oil consumption, seal the combustion/expansion chamber, and to support heat transfer from the piston to the cylinder wall. As the piston moves up and down the cylinder, the piston rings are subject to wear and to temperatures up to 600 degrees Fahrenheit. To reduce this wear and exposure to high temperatures, SBT's jet ski piston rings are made of chromium-plated ductile iron.

The top end kit also includes a wrist-pin which connects the piston to the connecting rod. It creates a bearing for the connecting rod to pivot upon as the piston moves up and down in the cylinder. The wrist pin is held into place by a small metal clip called a c-clip.

The gaskets included in the top end kit are needed to create a seal between mating surfaces and to prevent leakage. The gaskets should be replaced every time you take apart your engine.
